This year our annual conference and AGM will be held at the Salford Diocesan Archives, St. Augustine’s Hall, Grosvenor Square, All Saints, Manchester M15 6BW on Saturday October 5th 2013.

The provisional program is as follows:

  • Registration from 10am
  • 10.30 Hannah Thomas (Ph.D candidate, Swansea University): The Cwm Jesuit Library, Hereford Cathedral
  • 11.45 Fr Andrew Lloyd MBE BA. Chaplain to the Forces: History of Army Chaplains
  • 12.45 Lunch
  • 14:00 AGM
  • 14.45 Sister Dominic Savio CP & Sister Philomena FMSJ: Founded in Manchester; The Cross and Passion Sisters and the Franciscan Missionaries of St Joseph
  • 16:00 Optional tour: Places of Catholic interest in Central Manchester led by Pauline Lloyd, Green Badge Guide.

A Family History Help Desk will be available at lunch-time and late afternoon.

Travel, Parking and Hotel information will be available in advance. The cost for members is £10.00, and for non-members £12.00 (including lunch & all refreshments)

Presentation1This year the Day Conference and AGM will be on Saturday 5 October and the venue will be the Salford Diocesan Archives (which are actually in Manchester). As usual, we will have guest speakers and we hope to have representatives from local family history societies present. There will be a help desk and other opportunities to further your research. All our publications will be on sale. An optional buffet lunch will be available and there will be ample time for socialising and networking. Please make a note of the date in your diaries. More information will be published once the details are finalised.
